Airport Retail Enterprises (ARE) has announced new partnerships with two Sydney food and beverage institutions that will deliver new offerings to Terminal 2 at Sydney Airport.

Landmark Sydney bakery Brasserie Bread and renowned local coffee seller Toby’s Estate will be partnering with ARE this year to open specialist outlets at Sydney Airport.

Artisan bakery Brasserie Bread – which frequently appears on ‘best breakfast’ lists – will be offering travellers lovingly handcrafted breads and treats made from delicious organic ingredients.

The airport outlet will recreate the warmth and tastes of the much loved original shop front, complete with views of onsite bakers crafting breads and a live video stream from the company’s Banksmeadow workshop. 

The 100 per cent Sydney owned and operated Toby’s Estate will offer a warm and cosy new coffee shop for travellers seeking a carefully sourced and expertly brewed cup of coffee.

Since its inception in a Woolloomooloo garage in 1998, Toby’s Estate has garnered widespread acclaim for its rich and full bodied coffee, as well as its fair and sustainable trade practices.

“These two brands are very strongly identified with Sydney,” Mr Chapman said. “People are going to love being able to swing by and get the products they love before they jump on their flights or when they’re heading home after a trip.”

Also due to open in T2 this year is

Bistro 2020, which will offer travellers high quality hot food and a large selection of premium Australian wines.

The new Sydney ventures are the latest projects in ARE’s quest to create unique airport offerings that reflect the flavours of their city.

Senior Leasing Manager for Sydney Airport Corporation Mark Zaouk said ARE’s strength was innovation, creativity and the ability to capture a sense of the city’s food culture and bring that into an airport environment.

“Airports are extensions of the cities in which they are located so it’s important they reflect that,” he said.
